In South Carolina, there is an investigation underway into the death of infant Xymerra Evans. Eleven-month-old Xymerra Evans passed way at Carolinas Medical Center after admission to the pediatric intensive care unit for suspicious injuries. Providers allegedly found bruises on her chest and back. Bruises on the chest and back of an infant are consistent with child abuse. The Chester County Sheriff’s Office has begun the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Xymerra’s death.
