In Washington, James Fryberg is currently held in the Snohomish County Jail for charges in connection with the May 2009 death of 15-month-old Damoniko Ashby. Mr. Fryberg turned himself in to the Marysville Police on November 17th. Mr. Fryberg shared an apartment with Damoniko and his mother for two months at the time of Damoniko’s tragic death. News stories report allegedly Damoniko suffered from unexplained injuries shortly after his mother and her boyfriend moved in together. Allegedly on a previous occasion, Mr. Fryberg was left alone with Damoniko whereupon it was discovered Damoniko sustained a black eye and swollen face. The child’s injuries were attributed to a dog at that time.
