Torrance T. Rogers faces new murder charges in connection with the recent death of 10 year-old Taylor N. Pinkas. By way of history, Torrance Rogers pled guilty to aggravated battery of a child after shaking and abusing Taylor when she was ten weeks old. Mr. Rogers served time in the Graham Correctional Center and was released in 2007.
In the meantime, Taylor’s Aunt Debra Dycus adopted Taylor and care for her all these years. Taylor suffered from significant neurological deficits after Mr. Rogers victimized her causing shaken baby syndrome because she was crying while in his care. After the abusive incident, Taylor required total care for the remainder of her young life.
Debra Dycus is one of the founding members of National Shaken Baby Coalition.
Torrance Rogers is ordered held without bond for this murder indictment.
